About our strategy
We develop and share online tools like A Miracle Every Day and The Life of Jesus to spread the gospel, but we also believe that every tool should provide a next step to enable the online seeker to continue their faith journey. We use our unique Stepping Stones Strategy to help online seekers grow in their faith.
Personalised Journeys
Every person’s online faith journey is unique. That is why Jesus.net is constantly developing personalized journeys. As a partner of Jesus.net, you can be involved in this process, so that you too can share personalized content.
An example
Minato lives in Japan and struggles with depression.
He searches online for answers such as: why am I depressed, how do I get out of depression?
He clicks on an article about depression (Access), and after reading it he becomes curious and wants to discover more about the hopeful message he has just received.
He signs up for an online course: "Dealing with Depression" and discovers that Jesus can help him (Know).
He signs up for the daily email A Miracle Every Day (Grow), is encouraged daily and grows stronger in his faith.
He wants to share the joy he has discovered with others (Share)!
Offices & Languages
The international Jesus.net network of online ministry partners is supported by a support team in the Netherlands (Europe). To serve people locally, Jesus.net also has regional offices: in North America, Latin America and Asia.
Our Dream
Our dream is for every single person to have free access to the Gospel, to know God, to grow in faith and to share faith easily.
Our dream, in six elements
1. Every single person
People matter to God. Jesus cared about people, especially on a personal level. He is focused on connecting with each individual. With today's online capabilities, we can offer personal experiences and personal contact more than ever.
2. Free access
The Internet is everywhere. Close to every culture. On every device. On every mobile phone. The Internet is the best illustration of freedom, open access and an open future. Jesus.net uses the Internet to give people access to God's love in their first or second language.
3. To the Gospel
The gospel is good news for everyone. That is why we want to share it with the whole world: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)"
4. To know God
Many people know something about God. But usually it is a distorted or incomplete image. Jesus.net wants to show the heart of God online. To help people get to know God as the loving Father who cares for all people, including them.
5. To grow in faith
When people come to know God, they become new people. They are renewed and find their destiny. The Bible speaks of becoming like Jesus. Jesus.net helps people become more like Him, in every language, in every culture...
6. Share faith easily
As you become more and more like Jesus, you will also express this more and more. Jesus.net offers seekers, young and experienced believers opportunities to express your relationship with Christ. To share your faith as easily as possible with the people around you.
We like to share
Our partners can use all the tools, technology, content and knowledge that our network has to offer. Our aim is to reach everyone with the gospel, in their own language. Our support team is ready for our partners!
How it started...
Collaboration is key within Jesus.net. In the beginning, two different organizations had the dream to share the gospel online. In 2001, an e-learning course was set up in the Netherlands to connect seekers with local Christians (WhyJesus?). In 2005, a website explaining the gospel was started in France (KnowingGod). They started working together by sharing vision, concepts, technology and links.
For many years we called this partnership the “Jesus Internet Project”. At that time we already saw that the Kingdom of Jesus needed these unconditional partnerships where the sole focus is to bring the Good News of Jesus to people via the internet. In 2009 we started using the name “Jesus.net” and the network started to grow. Ministries from many different countries joined. We soon realized that we needed a structure to organize the movement. In 2012 the Jesus.net non-profit was incorporated in the Netherlands and an executive team and board were established.
